— we are a full-scale functional mushroom farm in Colorado

Founded in 2021, by Jake Plummer, Shane Schoolman, Michael Heim and Leo Pollio- we are a group of folks that really like mushrooms. We like them from every single angle but have decided to focus our energies towards creating an amazing product for our community. We want to build a lasting, trustworthy, dependable brand that offers the highest potency, organic, full-fruit body mushroom extracts for your mind body and soul.

Mycolove Farm was started in 2021 with the intention of growing high quality functional mushrooms. We have selected several powerhouse species to grow at our farm and have been developing our processes in order to ensure maximum potencies are extracted for each variety and cultivar.

By focusing on Turkey Tail, Reishi, Lion’s Mane, and Cordyceps, Mycolove Farm is hoping to fill the void in the current marketplace. Most medicinal mushrooms sold as supplements in the states are either powdered mycelium sans fruit or imported from other parts of the world where there is less regulation- which adds burden to the already worrisome climate situation. Grown right here in the Centennial state, Mycolove Farm hopes to provide the highest quality, locally grown, mushrooms and extracts in the world.

  • "Jake Plummer"

    Jake Plummer

    CO-FOUNDER

It all begins with an idea. Jake and some buddies got really turned on by the idea of mushroom medicine for the body and mind. So they started a company to realize this dream. The Pandemic really shifted supply chain economics so the next logical step was to purchase a mushroom farm. Jake, through happenstance, found a plug and play farm and it has been GO GO GO ever since.

  • Leo Pollio

    CO-FOUNDER

Leo comes to the farm with big dreams for his community. With a clear focus on making others feel their best, Leo hopes to bring this passion to the Mycolove Vision…

  • Shane Schoolman

    CO-FOUNDER AND CEO

Shane received his degree from CU Boulder in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and has been researching mycology from many aspects for the past few years. Knowing how to cultivate organic, potent medicine is a passion of his that he would like to share with other budding mycologists.

  • Michael Heim

    CO-FOUNDER AND COO

Michael Heim is a mushroom enthusiast that was hooked on Fungi the very first time he ever went morel hunting in 2008. He’s a longtime member of the Colorado Mycological Society (2010) and has served in a variety of positions; board member, president, and editor. For twenty years he cut his teeth in the restaurant industry fueling his appetite for all things wild, propelling him to start his own mushroom foraging and education company in 2015, calling it Enso Farm and Forage.

Every summer Michael is blessed to lead forays in the Rocky Mountains and teach people the wonders of mycology on private tours or as a foray leader with the CMS. He is one of only a handful of CDPHE Wild Mushroom Expert Certificate holders, allowing him to sell wild foraged mushrooms to Colorado restaurants and markets alike.

His experiences in the field are as diverse as Fungi itself. Ranging from an internship at a big commercial operation in Nevada to small-scale Community Supported Ag (CSA) farms on the Front Range of Colorado to consulting on a burgeoning food forest along the southern coast of Sweden, Michael has a sincere passion for everything mushroom related. He believes wholeheartedly what Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
